I have recently obtained a large collection of UK Apple singles many of which are now listed. They include demo’s, factory sample promo’s, radio station promo’s, Wings Fun Club issues, UK Apple picture sleeve issues and some of the rarer singers. Many are in wonderful EXCELLENT+ condition. The Sundown Playboys 1972 UK 1st pressing of the 'Saturday Nite Special / Valse De Soleil Coucher' 7” single. Released on the 17th November 1972, this is one of the rarer UK Apple singles as it failed to chart.
This comes complete with a custom card sleeve sleeve with typed and hand written details (release date, running time….). This may have originally been issued to a radio station. The vinyl has the very 1st matrix numbers on both sides and some early stampers (see below).
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: APPLE 44 A-1U 1 H KT
Side 2: APPLE 44 B-1U 1 GG KT
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition on the a-side and EXCELLENT- condition on the b-side.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
This will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK Recorded postage is: £2.55. EU Recorded Postage is: £9.20. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £11.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
