The Sundown Playboys - 'Saturday Nite Special / Valse De Soleil Coucher'. Apple 44
The Sundown Playboys 1972 UK 1st Apple DEMO pressing of the 'Saturday Nite Special / Valse De Soleil Coucher' 7" single. Released on the 17th November 1972, it comes complete with rare APPLE PICTURE SLEEVE and is offered here in WONDERFUL EXCELLENT condition.
These initial pre-release demo pressings would have usually been given out to important reviewers or radio stations. Released on the Apple label both sides state DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE and the release date of 17.11.72. The vinyl is housed within the original Apple picture sleeve which is quite rare by itself as NOT all copies came housed within one (the vast majority simply had a standard black Apple sleeve). A wonderful example of this rare non-charting Apple demo.
The Matrix numbers are:
Side 1. APPLE 44 A-1U 1 G KT
Side 2. APPLE 44 B-1U 1 G KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition.
