Label:   BYG ACTUEL (France).  Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl. Jacket is flexible, European-style gatefold with heavy lamination.  Label is black with silver text.    Catalog number is 529.332.

Year:  1969.

Byard Lancastar – alto sax, soprano sax, bass clarinet, flute

Kenneth Terroade – tenor sax, flute

Malachi Favors – bass

Sunny Murray – drums, balafon, poetry reading.

NOTE:  This came from a large collection of LPs stored for many years by an individual associated with the radio station at a historically black university back in the mid 1970s-early 80s.  Most appear to have been sampled once, or otherwise unplayed.  Guaranteed to be original and not a modern repro.  I have been listing many albums from this collection in the past several months, and the feedback has been awesome.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is EXCELLENT with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are a couple slight hairline paper scuffs but no serious or audible marks or problems.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean.  This hard-to-find LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.      

JACKET:  Laminated gatefold jacket is in EXCELLENT condition.   Outer panels are clean and bright;  front panel has 2 cracks of laminate, across the bottom.  Inner panels have just a bit of light ring wear.  Nice seams and spine (top seam just needs to be reglued).  No writing, stickers or other issues.  Overall a nice jacket to accompany the gorgeous disc.
