Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   CANADA ~ 1 LP 8.50; 2 discs $10.00; 3 discs $11.50; over 4 please contact us for shipping costs.   AUSTRALIA, THAILAND, JAPAN ~ 1 LP $18.00; 2 discs $23.00; 3 discs $27.00; 4 discs $32.00.  SUPER RARE = MINT = 1972 ORIGINAL FOLK & PROGRESSIVE GEM

      MORNING OF THE EARTH

\                              AUSTRALIA - WARNER BROTHERS - WS 20004

VERY RARE 1972 original soundtrack that features an array of lost hippie folk plus essetial NON Lp tracks by the legendary TAMAN SHUD who made two expensive collectible prog-psych albums 1970-1971...

Morning of the Earth is arguably the first surf movie that went beyond waves and into something of a (wordless) meditation on life based on surfing. The film is a product of it's time (very early '70's - first years of shortboard transition) and is full of hippy vibes as well as some beautifully filmed surfing on Australian, Hawaian and Bali waves. The soundtrack is therefore drenched in hippie folk & psychedelic prog rock (Taman Shud). Their NON-LP tracks "Bali Waters" and "First Things First" are worth the price alone. Like the film the soundtrack is a bit of a time machine back to a by-gone era. The soundtrack is for the nostalgic or those wanting a good compilation of early 70's Australasian psych-folk stuff...Probably one of the best "surf music" albums ever made; A sublime collection of songs that has enticed and haunted a generation of surfers and non surfers alike  with excellent musicianship, great production values, and a strong narrative thread with no spoken words in the movie itself. To paraphrase Albe Falzon "the songs are the story and the dialogue for the film". This album is a brilliant combination of sweet folk (John J Francis, Brian Cadd, G. Wayne Thomas, and Peter Howe) and the great underground psych prog band, Taman Shud, that takes the listener on a rolling tour of emotions that fills them with a warm sense of purpose and belonging.
