Take A Little Walk With Me / My Head Can't Rest Anymore
Chess 1447
Recorded in Chicago in 1949 with Leroy Foster on vocals and guitar, Snooky Pryor on harmonica and Alfred Elkins on drums. An absolutely killer early postwar Chicago blues record.
Record is in beautiful condition and grades E/V(+) and still has just about all of its gloss. Both labels are near perfect. Please note that the slightly darker area of the white part of the label on the right is a shadow and not on the label. Both labels are as white as they were when pressed.
Take A Little Walk side sounds unbelievable, possibly the best sounding Chess side I heard on 78. Vocals and guitar sound as if Foster's in the room with virtually no background noise at all. My Head Can't Rest side is somewhere in the middle of V and V+, some background noise is there and a few slight vocal and guitar distortions exist but still very enjoyable overall.
All 78s will be expertly packed to arrive safely. Choice of $4 media mail or $8 priority.
