Description
So, after five decades of collecting vinyl and Hi-Fi, the time has finally come to downsize. Over the next few months, with great reluctance, I will be gradually selling off my treasured collection of records, cds and hi-fi equipment. It will take a while !!! For instant sale is a seldom-seen copy of the incredibly rare reggae/rocksteady single from 1967 called 'LITTLE BOY BLUE' by KINGSTON PETE, BUSTERS ALL STARS. It is backed with I'M A LOVER, TRY ME and is on the highly collectible BLUE BEAT label with the catalogue number 45/BB 403. A genuine copy, it has the matrices BB 5014-lV and BB 5015-lV stamped in the runout grooves. It comes in a generic white sleeve. The labels are in very good or excellent condition but there are a few 'spindle trails' which you might be able to see in the photos. The photos seem to show staining or wear on the labels but in real life the marks are much fainter and, I would say, are hardly visible. However, please study the photos to see the condition for yourself. Both sides of the record have many light surface marks from being taken in and out of the sleeve but there are no major scratches. The record is in good/very good condition and plays without any 'sticks' or 'jumps'. 'Little Boy Blue' plays really well without much surface noise ('crackle') or 'pops' but, inevitably on a record that is nearly 60 years old, there are a few noises so it is not perfect. I'm A Lover, Try Me is a bit more 'crackly' but maybe all it needs is a good clean to improve it. Both sides play through without any 'sticks' or 'jumps'. The single will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey. I will dispatch it in a proper album-sized record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by Royal Mail Special Delivery so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible. Although expensive, it guarantees next-day, tracked delivery and, more importantly, fully insures the record which is safer for you and for me.
