Description
They really don't come any rarer than this I acquired this at the estate sale of Colgate University Professor Robert Blackmore the majority of his impressive collection nearing almost 50,000 albums were donated to the University's Jazz archive this must of slipped through the cracks mainly due to it's odd size which caught my eye especially being a 33rpm seven inch single. Through some research I tracked this back to the Connecticut based jazz band Quintessence headed by Ron Ancrum who is the credited composer for both sides, through a little more detective work I was finally able to contact Anrcum who explained this was a demo pressed to promote the band which would go on to release a full length LP released through Pyramid Productions Inc. & Guitorn label privately distributed this album is extremely rare and sells for nearly $100 although features neither of the two tracks on this demo making this a nearly one of a kind piece. The vinyl is clean in Minty condition but down playing it's condition with an Excellent grade in white generic sleeve.
