A bit of history.....This album was first released on the 4th Dec 1964. Prior to its release there was a huge order of 750,000...which went on to break all records for advance orders of ANY album!!! Of course this meant the album went straight into the number 1 position in the U.K. charts, staying in the charts for 46 weeks!! POPULAR is too small a word for it!

Vinyl: EX(+)!! Superb heavy vinyl. The vinyl just has a VERY few of the lightest of light  hairline marks, retaining all is sheen and glory!
I HAVE JUST LISTENED TO HER ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND WAS INCREDIBLY HAPPY WITH THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION-THE BEST I HAVE HEARD FOR A VERY 1ST PRESSING IN A LONG, LONG TIME!!
The drums are gorgeous at the start of "What You're Doing" :)

Labels: EX+. Lovely and clear. There are only a few very light spindle marks visible but only when angled towards the light.
NO WRITING
Outer text "The Parlophone Co." (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.
Almost ZERO hole wear-not really worth mentioning.
Lovely, clear silver text.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO SEE THESE DELICATE COVERS IN SUCH WONDERFUL CONDITION??!!
Mono outline in top right corner. Shiny front and back cover...There are just a few tiny crescent spidering areas to the two sided laminate, with a couple of very, VERY small finger spiderings emanating from the spine and bottom of the gatefold sleeve...VERY CRITICAL HERE!!
The corners have minimal, slight knocking-that really is it!
The spine is still clearly legible and still wonderfully strong-as are the inner flipbacks.
No Writing ANYWHERE!!
DEEP, RICH COLOURS REMAIN!!


Inner: EX+/NMINT!! ORIGINAL "USE EMITEX" inner!! In superb condition too.
NO splits
NO writing
Has the tracing paper inner lining.
It is the EARLIEST POSSIBLE, with the "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" text to the bottom left corner.
