Up for auction is one of Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs' most sought-after half-speed audiophile masterpieces, the classic 1979 recording of Supertramp's "Breakfast In America."
To this day, Breakfast remains one of my very few reference Mo-Fi LPs that still continue to amaze me even after having owned it for over 30 years. From the track that kicks off side one, "Gone Hollywood" segueing into their world-wide hit "The Logical Song," the sonics on this pressing are pure audiophile heaven. Side two completes this aural landscape with a slow-burning intro into "Take The Long Way Home," then concludes with the rockin' crescendos of "Child of Vision."
This LP is in OPENED, NEAR MINT-/EXCELLENT+ Condition. The vinyl disc is NEAR MINT-/EXCELLENT+ (a solid 8/9), and the album sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition (with a small 3/4 inch naturally-occurred seam split on the upper right corner of the sleeve opening. This was an original purchase upon it's release as a MFSL pressing sometime in 1982. It has been extremely well taken care of since, including an initial LAST vinyl cleaning and preservation. You can't get a better quality and great sounding pressing outside of an unplayed NM or SEALED copy. Includes all original inserts.
