Description
Here's a hard to find copy of the Capitol T-2113 LP by the Super Stocks: "Surf Route 101." Comes with the bonus 45 by Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos, "Doin' the Surfink" b/w "Finksville U.S.A." Arranged and conducted by Gary Usher. Produced by Jim Economides. Featuring musicians best known for their work with Phil Spector and Brian Wilson, as the "Wrecking Crew," including Jerry Cole, Hal Blaine, Steve Douglas, Glen Campbell, and others.
This was one of four similar promotions: "Surf Age" by Jerry Cole and His Spaceman (Capitol T-2112) which came with a 45 by Dick Dale, "Spanish Kiss" b/w "Thunder Wave," the Dick Dale LP "Summer Surf" (Capitol T-2111) which came with a 45 by Jerry Cole, "Movin' Surf" b/w "Racing Waves," and "Surf Fink!" by Mr. Gasser and the Weirdos (Capitol T-2114), with a 45 by the Super Stocks, "Midnight Run" b/w "Santa Barbara."

Side 2: "Balboa Island," "Oceanside," "My First Love," "Midnight Run," "Malibu Blues," "Newport Beach."
Jacket has some minor wear, slight damage on corners, as well as discoloration visible on the back. Some damage around the area where the bonus 45 is stored, and the plastic covering is gone (see photo). Overall VG to VG+ condition. The bonus 45 is in EX condition, a really beautiful copy. LP vinyl is in EX condition as well. Comes in its original Capitol promo sleeve. Great copy of a very collectible item.
Nice labels, nice gloss. This is a mono recording.
