  • Classic Southern California surf music 1963 - just as an emerging surf culture begins - skateboarding Socal begins with more and more kids making skate wheels skateboards; surfing along PCH up and down SD to SF.. and here comes one of many surf bands instrumentals - THE AVALANCHES with their ONE AND ONLY RECORD “ SKI SURF” (1963). THIS IS ANAUTHENTIC TEST TECORD OF THEIR COLUMBIA ALBUM ( etched in deadwax “W-1525 A” - ( see photo)

  • (( SONIC!!))). NO WRITING ON LABEL . .

  • The cover still has my address and notes- but this plain white sleeve is how I found it at a “junk sale” in the Hollywood Hills, early ‘80s. Previous owner inked in The Avalanches and the label
