Description

SURFARIS "Wipe out" LP

First Issue DOT DLP25535

Condition: Disc is NM-, the only thing that stops me from grading the jacket as NM- is a small sticker on the front upper left and the top spine is starting to show some wear.

No imperfections on the vinyl:

No scratches

No scuffs

No signs of foreign substances

Still shiny

No other imperfections on the jacket:

No creases

No cut-out (drill) holes

No cut-out corners

No saw-marks or indents

No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

No yellowing from aging

No writing (one small sticker)

No tape

No water damage

No warping

No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

No glue traces or wax residue.

You will be delighted.

GRADING LEGEND:

Note: I do not grade anything as Mint, so a flawless, 'perfect' record will be graded as NM-.

NM- Like new, looks unplayed.

VG++: A few very faint surface marks, nothing that will affect play

VG+: A few more marks than a VG++. Used but not abused. Again, nothing that will affect play

VG: Light scuffs and light scratches, there will be light surface wear to the record. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there.

VG-: The record may have some scratches that will be deep enough to feel. Audible clicks and pops may be consistently present, but no skips.

G: A record that has been played and not taken care of. Constant background noise will be present.

ABOUT THE SELLER:

From surfaris.com:

Welcome from Bob Berryhill

Thank you for visiting the official website of The Surfaris. The Surfaris are an instrumental surf band that my three bandmates, Jim Fuller, Pat Connolly, Ron Wilson and I started back in the fall of 1962. We are best known for writing and performing the 1963 hit song "Wipe Out."

Wipe Out has sold millions of records and song downloads worldwide. According to BMI Inc. the song has been played on the radio over 5 million times.

Wipe Out has a life of its own with placement in numerous blockbuster movies including The Sandlot starring River Phoenix, Meet The Parents with Robert Dinero, Disney's Surf's Up and Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze. The song has also been licensed for numerous television commercials including Delta Faucets and Stridex. Wipe Out is currently featured on Broadway in a new musical called "Trip Of Love." Recently, team Yolo scored 39 out 40 points on ABC's Dancing With The Stars with their dance routine choreographed to Wipe Out. The Dirty Dancing stage musical continues to rock audiences around the world with the "Wipe Out" dance segment.

One of my favorite accomplishments is the Wipe Out recognition as one of the most popular and influential instrumental songs of all time by Billboard Magazine and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This year, my 1962 Fender Reverb Unit was featured in the Musicians Hall of Fame museum, in Nashville, TN. I still enjoy leading the current band and performing as The Surfaris today. Keep in touch through Facebook.com/surfaris, and I hope you like the new website.
