Description

From Capitol Records, this is an old LP jacket for the "Surfink!" LP, which musically featured "Mr. Gasser And The Weirdos, but more importantly featured cover art from Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.  Not sure of the origin of this particular jacket - it came out of a collection of late 50's/early 60's teeny bopper/early rock stuff (Ricky Nelson, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, Jack Scott,etc), none of which dated past 1965/1966.  Cover has no writing on the spine, nor is there any writing on the back of the jacket.  The "Plus This Free Bonus Record" notation is printed on front cover slick, but there is no pocket for the record itself.  Jacket grades VG++ - there are no splits or tears, but there is some staining on the back of the jacket.  There is also a staple through top left corner of the jacket (plus one small staple hole) and what appear to be staple holes (but no staples) on the other corners as well.  There is some imprint ring wear visible on the back of the jacket (meaning a record was present at some point or caused by being stored next to a record for a long time), but overall the jacket is in nice shape considering it's age.  Any info on why this "blank back" edition of this particular jacket exists would be appreciated.  UPDATE:  I have received an email asking if this is a laser scan and it most certainly is not - it is a legitimate, vintage jacket.  Buyer pays $9.00 priority or $4.00 media shipping in the US, $16.75 airmail overseas.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
