'ITS THE VINYL COUNTDOWN'

Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX+

As you can see, this vinyl is the FIRST UK HEAVYWEIGHT pressing -

Stored from new this LP has seen below average plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere. We rarely see this vinyl in such clean condition-so many copies being trashed at Glam Rock parties in the 70s and played on cheap players, has meant these days these type of LPs are becoming impossible to find in decent condition..

This  pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There are a handful of spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

There is some whisp lines, a couple of feint hairlines and thats it-  nothing else! Nothing penentrates the vinyl and nothing spoils the sound. Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN SUPERB CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves..the odd tiny little static along the way in a few spots.

This is easily as good as we have ever heard of this classic LP - it sounds superb!

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE

 BETTER.

THE LABELS   MINT-  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     EX

Correct MATT 'HEAVY TEXTURED' first UK issued earliest sleeve  -with THIN spine

TITLES ON TOP EDGE AND SPINE.

Printed by  -UNCREDITED

This is in super condition, with low wear and handling.

MOST COPIES OF THIS  LP WE SEE ARE ALWAYS TERRIBLY WORN,  OR JUST SUFFERING FROM TOO MUCH RUB! ..The white sleeve is almost impossible to see without discolouration/ageing.

These textured sleeve copies are so hard to find in decent condition, this one is a nice example, not MINT.

The edges are all clean with just some tiny pin spots of rub in a few places on the edging, some light creasing here and there  and -just a hint of discolour on the edges and spine.

Some tiny feint seam rub...some light ring press, and all edges have some light tip rub, and tink dinks.

The spine edge has some very light wear, it has a couple of  spots of rub, light discolour, and tip rub.

The open edge remains in  sharp condition with  alittle creasing , and a dink on the bottom edge.

so, no not a minter..that is very unlikely~!  but this is as clean as we can realistically expect for such a delicate sleeve these days.

THE INNER SLEEVE   EX+

ORIGINAL paper pat printed.  no tears or rips. Some very light discolour.
