Description

Offered: "Swan Lake". This is an original 2LP record set on the Decca ED1 wide band label, SXL-2107-8. Swan Lake-Tchaikovsky. Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande. This is the first pressing Stereo issue with the words "original recording by" at the 11 o'clock position on the labels. As mentioned, this is the wide band ED1 label version released in 1959. The album includes the rare booklet describing the history of Swan Lake and an act by act synopsis of this world famous ballet.

The record's surface present some scuffs and hairlines. The sound is full, rich and glorious as should be expected from this most desirable Decca issue.  The records are housed in the original date appropriate Decca inner sleeves.

The labels are in excellent condition. The cover shows signs of wear with foxing and a couple small tears.There is a 2" split at the lower spine. The booklet is detached but complete. It too shows signs of wear with small tears.
