K.422 (KCC 1) 1984 Original pressing. Rare and collectable !!
Vinyl visually inspected under strong light shows no serious problems at all. Vinyl is very clean and very shiny. Some surface marks are visible, and the record has obviously been played a few times over the years. However, these surface marks can only be seen when held up to the light, and they are certainly not "feel-able", so therefore, nothing serious. The only thing that slightly lets the vinyl down is there is a noticeable white mark on the very last track on side 2. The mark is tiny, only a couple of millimetres in size, but it may ever so slightly affect playback on that one particular track. It isn't a scratch - it looks as if it was caused during the actual pressing of the record, as it appears to be embedded in the vinyl grooves. Shouldn't be anything too distracting, however - and, at worst, just likely to cause one or two little clicks while playing back. Anyone familiar with Swans will know their music is brutally loud anyway, so, to be honest, you probably won't even notice when listening. This is the only tiny little thing that affects the overall great quality of the vinyl.....so please don't let it put you off. Overall, this record has been very well looked after and looks just fine.
Outer sleeve in very good condition. Some edge wear top and bottom, but nothing serious, in my opinion. Spine area in really nice condition. Corner wear evident on 3 corners, most notably bottom right side (see above pic) Some light wear along opening edge of sleeve. A bit of rubbing evident on top of front cover, around the band name, but nothing that can't be expected from an album of this age. Other than that, the sleeve is in really decent condition.
Inner sleeve in really good shape. Black colour, printed lyrics on one side and a typically unpleasant prose on the other. No seam splits or anything nasty to report. A bit of general wear, but this inner sleeve has been well looked after over the years.
So, all in all....a great copy of a very collectable early Swans release. A fine addition to anyone's Swans collection.
