THE SWANS: Public Castration Is A Good Idea 2LP (Not On Label [UK] BURN ONE) 1986.
Jacket is NM. Record is NM (our highest grade for an opened record). From a large single-owner collection (see our other auctions for more from the same collection). The previous owner made a habit of taping his LPs as he bought them and only playing the tapes to preserve the condition of his vinyl. So, most of the records we are listing from this collection are either Excellent or Near Mint even in cases where the jackets are not. We regret that he didn’t store his records in outer sleeves and that he added his name to many of the records which has led to some wear and lower grades to jackets of otherwise NM records. Better than the other way around though! See each record description for condition specifics. Does not appear to have been played much at all. There are a couple of superficial marks on the first record but we play graded those areas and they were fine as well. The record is Near Mint throughout (which I’m sure would really upset Michael Gira).price rating
