We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THIS LP HAS SEEN POSIBLY 3 OR 4 PLAYS ONLY- IT IS EASILY THE CLEANEST COPY WE HAVE EVER AUCTIONED!

- Rare to see this LP in such good condition, so many copies being trashed at parties back in the 70s, and played on poor quality players, finding this LP in any condition is fast becoming one of the hardest things to do! 

This LP plays fantastic- and as you know..one of the greatest records ever made.

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly 1st EARLIEST A1 HEAVYWEIGHT pressing  -

Stored from new this LP has seen REMARKABLY JUST A COUPLE OF CAREFUL PLAYS, AND ARCHIVED AWAY FOR 40 YEARS TIL NOW!

IT IS THE CLEANEST COPY WE HAVE EVER SEEN..

Rarely does this LP surface at all, and when it does most time it plays awful..this copy plays PRETY MUCH AS NEW.. as we shall describe. 

This HEAVYWEIGHT pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all like this.

We can see NO tiny spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

SOME SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE!

There are a few light whisp lines, and thats it-  nothing else!  No bad scratches or marks that we normally see on this LP. 

Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, and therefore there are  some dust specs on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..

On playing through we heard only some light lead in static in the opening dead grooves ...and then...

A little static crackle in the opening of 'Set Me Free'...some tiny dust static  in the ending of 'Heartbreak Today'..and the rest of side one was pretty much trouble free .

Side Two played immaculate with barely any staic crackle at all..

OVERALL..THIS IS A SUPERB PLAY VINYL.. WE CANNOT REMEMBER A BETTER SOUNDING COPY FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

Correct LAMINATED first UK issued earliest sleeve  - with square spine.

 This is in SUPERB condition. The lamination is clean and bright and as clean as we have seen

The edges are all super clean with no rub on the edging  and all colours and inks remain in outstanding BLACK/GREY condition

 Some very light ring press only.

There are a couple of small thumb creases on the front panel

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition with the laminate stopping short as normal -this is where most copies have 'badly feathered edges'..but this one remains sharp and superb.

a couple of tiny spider lines on the edges.

Some light tip rub.

The spine is super square-immaculate with no squash at all.

There is a little laminate 'bubbling' on the spine edge top and bottom..this is typical of every single copy we have ever seen..for some reason 'SWEET FA' had this pressing defect..we have never sen a copy with no bubbling.

White paper die cut original. POLY LINED EDITION- Genuine 1974 inner, rare to see the poly lined versions back then.. this is 100% white like new!!!

OVERALL... A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF THIS CLASSIC LP- WE REALLY FEEL YOU WILL GO A LONG LONG WAY TO FIND A BETTER EXAMPLE THAN THIS.. SUPER RARE..
