on the Original MERCURY RECORDS - STEREO 20146 SMCL from 1969
1Y//1 & 2Y//1 FIRST MATRIX'S (only!) pressing copy !!
There are very few records (with eBay uncovering every obscurity
ever released), where I truly can say "here's a virtually unknown release"!
There are not many albums not 'known'.
THIS fits that bill, because the main instigator stayed under a pseudonym 'Junior Dunn' when it is actually AYNSLEY DUNBAR under that thin disguise. NOT a bad record either, as Britain's BEST blues and rock drummer (he still is. I saw him with Eric Burdon in more recent years and he was astonishing!!).
Dick Heckstall Smith joins in with brilliant session players making up this band - Annette Brox, Keith Tilman, Sam Crozier, Stuart Cowell, and John O'Leary.
A very cool record that will attract a few 'in the know' collectors and British-blues fans - but for the curious I would suggest if you like Mayall and Aynsley's 'Retaliation'
then you aren't likely to be disappointed!
The vinyl is VG++ to EX, a respectable example and a great playing copy!
Very faint marks visible only, not affecting play.
Lables are VG++, silver text on matt black - clean
The laminated GATEFOLD cover is VG+ having a worn title edge and other light wear
