This is from a large Classical Vinyl LP collection that I have acquired. As with most classical collectors, the owner was very careful with his collection.  Many of the vinyl look like they haven't been played or have been played on very few occasions and in some cases items are sealed/mint unplayed!!.

"This is the first recording of a version of this symphony in which the poems are sung in the original languages. Prepared by Jorg Morgener, it was presented to Shostakovich during the ISME Congress held in Moscow in 1971. Shostakovich replied with a minor alteration to "Der Tod des Dichters" to accommodate the German text. He expressed further approval of this version during a visit to West Berlin in 1973."

The glossy sleeve has general light storage wear from rubbing & handling etc  i.e the sleeve has very slight wear on/near the edges/the spine

plus one small seam split developing at top of sleeve

Sleeve that has some light natural wear through age - that has been nicely cared for.

Sleeve that is fully intact without any major splits or tears - that has lasted very well  -   In nice/superb condition for its age.

GRADINGS ARE BASED ON RECORD COLLECTOR

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

I DO NOT SELL ANY VINYL GRADED LESS THAN VG, UNLESS IT IS ANYTHING THAT IS VERY RARE OR SPECIAL.
