THE VIENNA PHILHARMONIC

Original UK first press record on the WBg ED1 label with "ORIGINAL RECORDING " text. Released on the black/silver Decca label. The catalogue number is SXL 2005. The sleeve is of the very early type. Later ones have the DECCA STEREOPHONIC logo in a square symbol.

Recorded at the Sofiensaal Vienna on the 3&4 October 1956 and released in August 1958.

The record plays with no pops no ticks no clicks no hiss no skips no repeats. EXCELLENT
The sleeve (one of those flimsy 50's ones) is in EXCELLENT condition. Actually probably better given how flimsy it is with no tears no writing no creases and only a hint of ringwear on the rear.

NEAR MINT audio inspection has revealed no scratches or scuffs on the playing surface. The record may have been played but is undamaged. The jacket will be clean and unmarked with only the slightest wear.
EXCELLENT audio inspection has revealed no sounding scratches on the playing surface, but there may be a few light crackles or LIGHT tics but nothing serious. The jacket might have slight wear and/or creasing or fading.
VERY GOOD audio inspection has revealed some light scratches and/or heavier scuffs - causing the odd bit of crackle but nothing serious.
