SYMPHONY No. 4 IN F MINOR
ARGENTA
DECCA SXL 2015
This record was part of a collection that belonged to my grandparents. They were both Hi-Fi enthusiasts and kept their records in excellent condition. They played their records on a Garrard 301 Turntable with a SME 3012 Tonearm and Shure V15 Cartridge.
This record plays superbly but its not without faults. This record crackles on the beginning of each side but quickly fades to very light surface noise. On Side One there is a very light, barely audable/visible, 'spindle' mark measuring 30mm's or so which can only be seen on close inspection and a circa 1mm diameter blemish that clicks three times but doesn't unsettle the stylus. On the final track of Side Two there are two very light, barely audable 10mm long stylus marks. It also suffers from very light inner sleeve related marking.
The cover is clean but it's lost its rigidity and suffers from laminate peeling, ring wear and splits to both opening edges.
This record will be securely packed in a dedicated mailing sleeve with inserts but pick-up with cash-on-collection would be preferred.
