Here is a STEREO 1958 FIRST GROOVED PRESSING DECCA LP on the highly desirable WIDEBAND Label of a FAMOUS recording of STRAVINSKY's"THE FIREBIRD". One of the most exciting pieces you will ever hear! ERNEST ANSERMET conducts THE SUISSE ROMANDE ORCHESTRA in a performance that was only improved by the COMPOSERS OWN VERSION FOR CBS IN 1962. Very Vibrant and lush performances.Crystal clear Range of sound is terrific -Decca probably recorded most of the work in one go with just a few microphones with the most perfect acoustic!! !One previous, studious careful owner! Excellent condition with HARDLY ANY surface noise - A tribute to the high standards DECCA had There are a couple of brief clicks on side two and a little crackle at the beginningof the second side. YOU WILL FIND IT HARD TO FIND ANOTHER ONE AS GOOD AS THIS- I WILL REGRET LETTING IT GO I AM SURE!!!!!! The centre hole shows only slight signs of wear. I test on good equipment TWICE with the treble on full to hear it at it's worse.Some minor cover edge creasing. A FLIPBACK COVER WITH THE DATE CODE 12/59 so approx a year after first issue -Don't think there was a blue border back cover version.STUNNING ART COVER - A CLASSIC OF THE ERA. THIS IS MUSIC THAT IS UNLIKELY TO BE BEATEN IN IT'S STYLE WITH A RECORDING THAT STILL AMAZES NEW LISTENERS FOR ITS AGE! IF YOU ONLY EVER OWN A SMALL NUMBER OF CLASSICAL LPs MAKE ROOM FOR STRAVINSKY EVEN IF YOU DON'T BID ON MY ITEM!!!! Low starting price as appropriate with no annoying reserve. Postage is £4 recorded delivery(£5 special delivery-ADVISABLE!),solid packing, outside UK extra depending on destination.
