Description

Decca Records two disc boxed set, stereo SXL 2031-2, first grooved wideband ED1 label discs have "Original Recording By..." at upper left.  Disc 2031 is the very early "pancake" pressing on heavy vinyl with flat edge.  Quite rare to find these on Decca pressings.  Pressed in England.  In the early gray box with the paper slick on the spine.  Stampers are 1E 2F 1E 1E.  Includes the full libretto.

Die Walküre, act 3, complete, plus excerpts from act 2.  Georg Solti conducts the Vienna Philharmonic, with Kirsten Flagstad, Marianne Schech, Set Svanholm and Otto Edelmann.  See pics for program details.
