STRAVINSKY: THE RITE OF SPRING ... wideband DECCA stereo SXL-2042
Ansermet conducting the L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande
rare UK first pressing stereo vinyl LP on orig. wideband DECCA label with catalognumber SXL-2042. Laminated flipback cover with 'blue back' and orig. innersleeve has some signs of time, but still in very collectible excellent condition. The vinyl itself is in pristine NEARMINT condition with clean labels, only very few spindlemarks suggesting that it was rarely played. With just a surface mark and a hairline that are non-sounding, no ticks, no clicks, or alike this is a fantastic copy - stunning audiophile sound and the most amazing interpretation of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring - truly a beautiful historic performance by Ansermet, and a highly acclaimed record from the golden age of 'living stereo' of the late fifties/early sixties with superb soundquality (see e.g. TAS ...) - Matrixnumbers are ZAL-3619-1K and ZAL-3620-5E ...
