Description

Very rare Stravinsky – The Rite Of Spring. L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande conducted by Ernest Ansermet. Decca 1st Stereo pressing, ED1 wide band grooved. ‘ Original recording by’ text. Comes with original inner sleeve.

1958 Decca Records (Cat.No.SXL2042). Condition: Cover: Vg / Disc: Good

The cover has lost some laminate and peeling  to the opening and also to the bottom spine but is still overall in Vg condition.

Visually the record would be graded as at least Vg. Side 1 has a couple of noticeable surface marks, only one of these can be felt with light finger touch. Playing wise Side 1 has 8 audible clicks near the start and a couple more a few minutes in. Approx half way through there is a further 4 clicks. Other than this there is occasional background crackle in the quiet parts. Side 2 has the occasional pop/crackle and occasional background crackle but overall plays well.   Please check out my other auctions as i am selling loads of other rare classical Lp's
