Description

Rare Puccini – Madama Butterfly x3 LP box set with original inners and libretto. 1st Decca stereo Wide Band Grooved labels with ED1 ‘Original recording By’ text.


Tebaldi / Bergonzi / Orchestra of the Academia Di Santa Rome conducted by Tullio Serafin.


1958 Decca Records (Cat.No.SXL2054/55/56) Condition: Box: Ex- / Discs: Vg/Vg/Vg+ (combined visual and playing grade)


The box has a split to the bottom right corner and a small area to the top right where the film has peeled, the hinge is fully intact. Overall graded as Ex-.


All of the records suffer from some surface marks but the majority of these do not affect play. There is background crackle in the quiet parts and the odd pop/click on a couple of sides. Overall the records play as Vg+ to Ex.


As with all my records the discs have not been cleaned as i prefer to let the buyer choose their own method of cleaning. As such i am sure sound quality would be enhanced.
