SXL 2101-3 wb+g Ed.1 – WAGNER: DAS RHEINGOLD – SOLTI / LONDON / FLAGSTAD
1959 Decca stereo recording on wideband grooved label Ed.1. Boxed set of 3 stereo LPs with 2 booklets, catalogue number SXL 2101-3. Wagner’s opera "Das Rheingold" with Georg Solti conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Soloists: Kirsten Flagstad, George London, Svet Svanholm, Gustav Neidlinger, etc.
5 sides have no visible marks; we have not played them. Side 1 has 2 very light scratches. We have listened carefully to the whole side, the 2 scratches are inaudible but there are 2 light ticks at the start and 4 very light ticks at the end. The illustrated synopsis is excellent. The small format libretto is scuffed and discoloured. Box is very good with light scuffing and paper lift on rear.
