up for auction is an extremely rare lp of Decca Stereophonic release SXL 2107-08 : Tchaikovsky – Swan Lake : ERNEST ANSERMET conducting the London Symphony Orchestra
LP was released in 1959 by The Decca Record Company Limited, London England.
This is the 1st edition wide band copy! COMPLETE WITH BOOKLET attached inside the gatefold sleeve.
FIRST LABEL WITH "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" AT 10 O'CLOCK, WIDE BAND
EARLY BOX SET WITH STAMPERS (SIDE 1-4):1E, 2D, 1E, 2D !!!!!
LP is between VG++ and EXC+ Condition. Side 1 Starts as VG++ but grows into EXC condition later on, side 2 EXC, side 3 EXC, side 4 EXC going very close to if not EXC+
Gatefold Album cover is in VG++ condition. Some tape is used, worn around the edges, but still has the laminated almost 100% intact.Sleeve is still gorgeous. See scans for photos.
LP was kept in its original protective factory (Decca - Blue ffss) inner sleeve which has kept the vinyl in sharp Audiophile state
The sound is really amazing, very dynamic and spacious as good SXL-pressing should sound.
