DECCA SXL 2107-8 ED1 WBG STEREO TCHAIKOVSKY SWAN LAKE ANSERMET
Very rare original 1959 UK Decca Wide Band Grooved 2LP ED1 Stereo first pressings. 'ORIGINAL RECORDING BY' label text. Comes in original gatefold sleeve with stapled inside booklet. And also the original FFSS poly-lined inner sleeves.
The vinyl's have been very well looked after, & are in really superb condition, very clean with a excellent glossy sheen. There are no bad surface marks at all, there are only a few barely visible very light top surface lines, that really are so light, that they have no affect on play. All four sides play & sound very near perfect throughout. There are no loud or repeated clicks or pops, & actually barely any background static / crackle at all, & the stereo sound quality is fantastic & clean & clear throughout all four sides, with no lessening in the excellent audio at all. 65 year old vinyl's, that still, look, play, & sound fantastic.
All four labels are in excellent clean condition, & show very little use around the spindle holes.
The front & back laminated gatefold sleeve, is in very good+ condition. The front is still nice & glossy, but a small piece of the lamination has peeled, & come away from the front / top / centre, there are a couple of other very small areas of lamination lifting along the top edge, still looks fine though, and is not really that noticeable when the gatefold cover is placed inside a protective plastic sleeve. The back is still pretty clean with just a little marking near the bottom edge. The stapled booklet is still attached to the inside centre, although there is a little movement. The booklet is still in decent shape, having just a little marking, & some slight age discolouration, nothing bad at all.
The original Decca FFSS poly-lined inner sleeves are nice & clean, with some storage creasing, but no bad marks, rips, or splits, still in very nice shape. I pack my records very well. I always remove the vinyl & inner sleeve from the outer cover. The Item will reach you In the same condition as advertised & pictured.
