Obviously a very collectable item, has 'wide band grooved' label with 'original recording by' at ten o'clock. Blue and white border to rear indicating very earliest of pressings. 1K/2K matrix. The record surface does have many surface marks which are all light and none are what I would describe as a major scratch. During playback surface noise is almost none existant but due to the surface marks there are a fair light pops here and there. I have listened to the item and really wouldnt have realised that it was quite as marked as it obviously is, no jumps, sticks. Lovely deep stereophonic tone and still an outstanding listen. The sleeve is a little tatty with some laminate peel and a little chunk out of rear, still nice and solid.
I hope that I have been clear with my assesment of the record and can see from the photos that I have been harsh with my description rather than generous. This is obviously not in mint condition but still a fabulous play. Please do not bid if you are looking for a perfect item. .....I am listening to the record as I write this description and it really does still have the power to make the hairs on the back of ones neck stand up!

We use the standard grading system stated below for all our vinyl and try to be as honest as we can be about any flaws or imperfections. We play grade every single record however valuable it may be, so please do feel confident when buying.
All vinyl sent well protected using two corrugated cardboard stiffeners and the highest grade stiff brown cardboard.

Grading system
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing
.Very good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable
.Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
