Description
SXL 2135 wb+g Ed.1 – Mozart: Symphonies Nos. 32 & 38 – MAAG / LSO
Original 1959 Decca stereo recording on wide-band & groove label Ed.1 catalogue number SXL 2135. Mozart Symphony No.32 in G major and No.38 in D major "Prague" with Peter Maag conducting the London Symphony Orchestra.
Visually the disc has many small pressing faults and occasional very faint surface marks. Audibly each side has about 12 noticeable ticks; in addition Side 1 has 10 very light ticks; Side 2 has 17 very light ticks plus a momentary faint crackle at start. Definitely not a perfect copy. The thin card sleeve is VERY scruffy – lots of edge/corner wear and creasing.
