GRADING
SLEEVE: VG
The notoriously fragile wallet type sleeve is in nice clean condition. The outer is good and solid with just a small amount of discolouration and a very small nick to the bottom edge (see picture). Similarly, the inside of the gatefold sleeve is intact, the plastic inner holding the records is fine although there is a small split in the middle at the bottom (this does not affect the sleeves ability to hold the records) as is the plastic slip holding the libretto although there is a small split to the top of the latter. The Libretto has a few creases.
RECORD: VG/VG/VG
The records are lovely and clean. Under bright light a few sleeve removal type marks are visible as well as some hairline scratches. None of these is feelable or substantial.
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
