Description

Decca SXL 2172 original wide-band with groove.  Early stampers 1D/2D.
Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 1       Julius Katchen with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierre Monteux

Record cover is intact with no tears or inscriptions.  Original inner sleeve.
The vinyl surfaces are excellent with just a couple of light 'hairlines' present.
The record has been test-played on my equipment (Rega turntable/Rega cartridge/B&W Aura amplifier/Grado 125 headphones).   Satisfactory playback throughout with the cartridge tracking correctly.   Great early Decca sound.
Rare and highly collectable audiophile recording from 1960.
