(Decca SXL 2244 UK LP 1960)

 

This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve. This has the date printed on the bottom flipback "R.S. 9-60". This means this sleeve was printed in September 1960. It has its original "FFSS" Stereophonic polythene-lined company inner sleeve. 

The record has ED1 "wide band" Decca labels which are grooved also. They have the "Original Recordings By" text. It has first press ZAL-4801-2E and ZAL-4802-1E matrix numbers. This is a rare UK Stereo Classical LP. I have some other rare UK classical records for sale too.

 

Sleeve: There are two signatures on the rear sleeve at the top. I am unable to decipher them. There is another bit of writing near the signatures too. There is some light to mild fading & ringwear. VG condition.

Vinyl: Light to very mild sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. There are 4 small & fairly light hairline marks. VG condition. There is an "F-6" which has been stamped on one label. Otherwise, very light spindle wear only. I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG overall. This is because there are two quick bits of distortion/ crackle near the start of Side 1. Otherwise, it plays VG+ in the main with only light crackle in some quieter places. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to mild wear but there are no seam splits.

Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).

Postage for 1 LP in Europe is £6.65 to £7.85 (depending on weight). Add £1.25 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

Postage for 1 LP for the rest of the world is £8.75 to £11.50 (depending on weight). Add £2 for each additional LP up to 2kg.

 

Insurance is necessary if this item exceeds £20. Overseas buyers will add £5.50 extra (plus an additional £2.50 if the item value exceeds £70).
