Description
This is our first sale from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1960 First year pressing of Uk Decca SXL 2246 Mendelssohn in Scotland performed by Peter Maag & the LSO. It is his 3rd Symphony (Scotch) & Fingals Cave Overture. The definitive reading of this pairing on this early stereo gem.
Decca FFSS Arm ad McNeill curved cut flipback sleeve. Labels are ED1 with Original Recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock. Curved cut Flipback sleeve has the1st type blue ffss border & large curved stereophonic logo, and the pristine original company ffss inner is present. This is a visual mint minus with one non feelable mark to the playing surface (did not sound on my moving coil), has clean labels and the sleeve is Near Mint. Flips are unmarked, no pen or excess dirt, no splits or bends. Lowest 1E1E stampers.
This record is not warped, labels are clean.Good selection of rarities in my list this week..
