Happy to present a very well looked after copy of this most enchanting wide-band SXL.
The front-laminated, double flipback sleeve is a tremendous example considering it celebrated its 50th birthday last year. And by that I am not saying “it looks good for its age” (where in reality it’s actually worn and tired). This is a sterling example that, were it not for the number ‘30’ neatly scratched to the top front left corner would easily grade close to mint. Perfect edges, perfect spine, no creases at all to the shiny front face laminate, solid flipbacks and nice white rear panel. Just a hint of light storage rubbing to the front and a thin strip of ring impression to the rear opening edge. All round a really lovely example which must grade EX+ (Excellent Plus). Structurally near perfect without bumps, ripples or bends.
The black ED1 labels are virtually perfect – no scrapes, tears, writing or residue. I can only make out just one faint spindle trace to each side. Lovely set of these vintage labels!
The correct poly-lined ‘FFSS’ inner sleeve is just fine – slight toning, light creasing but no loosening of the polythene inner.
The medium heavy weight vinyl is in keeping with the rest of the package. Lightly played by all accounts. A patch of light scuff lines to Side 1 and possibly some super faint sleeve traces if you look very closely but nothing you could call a scratch and no nasty scrapes or dents. Maintains a healthy shine and still looks very pretty indeed. IT HAS BEEN LISTENED TO and plays with immense stereophonic clarity during the louder passages. Occasionally in the quieter moments there is some noticeable light crackle or dust static but I’m sure this would disappear with a deep pro-clean and to my ears it isn’t at all intrusive. So overall EX (Excellent) visually, with the audio matching it for the main part, occasionally falling just below in the quieter moments.
Summary: A super sleeve, showing hardly any wear, housing a very satisfactory disc, playing loud and clear.
No reserve.

I do not use any more than ONE plus or minus between grades. After all, WHAT ON EARTH DOES VG+++++ MEAN? What is NM+? Or EX---? These are just some of the ridiculous gradings I’ve encountered on eBay. I am very careful using the EX (Excellent) grade. Excellent, by dictionary definition means‘extremely good’ NOT ‘marked and slightly beat up with wear’!
