THIS ITEM IS A 12" LONG PLAYING RECORD NOT A COMPACT DISC
: DETAILS SXL 2268 - DECCA - Made in England - ED1 - Disc in excellent / near mint condition. The sleeve is in very good condition - slightly dirty on the back and the bottom flipover has been wrinkled and repaired. SEE ILLUSTRATIONS MUSIC RIMSKY KORSAKOV - Scheherazade - Polovtsian Dances - Ernest Ansermet / L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. : GRADINGMINT: - this would indicate that my visual inspection has revealed no scratches or scuffs on the playing surface and that the playing surface is clean and that the disc seems to have been played very little if at all.
I have never understood how a seller can stipulate that a disc has "never been played" when it is not still sealed. I do know of sellers - even here on eBay - who say this about most of the discs they list.
NEAR MINT: - this would indicate that my visual inspection has revealed no scratches or scuffs on the playing surface and that the playing surface is clean and that, while the disc would seem to have been played, it is undamaged.
EXCELLENT: - this would indicate that the surface is clean and free of scratches and scuffs. It would indicate that - while the disc has obviously been played - it is not worn with excessive use or damaged in any way. Any faint marks would be noted.
I never knowingly sell a record that shows any signs of wear or damage unless that damage is noted in the description.
SHIPPING:This small chart will give you some idea of the shipping / postal charges involved in sending each item purchased from me. Outside the UK all discs will be sent Airmail.
If buying more than one large item you should consider each item separately for shipping / postage; normally they will be sent in one parcel at a lower cost. Between 6 and 8 discs can normally be sent in an Airmail "small packet" of up to 2KG.
Over 2KG the cost rises sharply; it is often less costly to send several small packets than a single large parcel; even a single item that weighs a little over 2KG packed will be sent in two packages.
I cannot offer you a discount because the shipping is costly from the UK to where you live; it is costly; but I only charge as much as I am charged. Combining several items in a single packet at a much lower cost than two separate packages more than meets most "postal discounts" being offered.
I know quite well that I charge less than many dealers on eBay and elsewhere for shipping and packing. Many sellers make excessive shipping & handling charges and offer a discount which leaves them in profit still.
If you wait for an invoice from me, you might be surprised to find that the cost is less than noted in my postal chart.
This chart is for Airmail shipping ; surface mail is less costly and can take up to eight weeks to reach some destinations from the UK. Surface mail is also more likely to be damaged and become missing - if you choose surface shipping, I will not be responsible for loss or damage. I always obtain proof of posting. I do not recommend surface shipping - the choice is yours. Even with surface shipping , several small packages are often less costly than one larger one.

I always have thousands of LPs in stock. If you find an obvious error in my listing please let me know; I am happy to put right errors in listings and to fix typos (all too frequent). I always inspect each disc before listing it; I will try to mention any visible damage to a disc and note if it "sounds" when played. Normally I do not list items with visible marks and I am usually happy to describe most items as excellent / near mint / mint. I will normally describe the jacket separately if its' condition is poorer than that of the disc. :price rating
