SXL 6003 WBG Decca Honegger A Christmas Cantata Ansermet UK
The L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande conducted by Ernest Ansermet performs Honegger’s “A Christmas Cantata” and “Symphony For Strings”. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 6003 stampers 1E/1E), the record labels have a full frequency stereophonic fatband, ffss logo, “Original recording by...” at 10 o’clock and a groove The record, apart from a few minor scuffs, is of very good appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover laminate has some creases and the back is a little grubby. The cover is actually a mono one with the Stereo number typed and pasted on the back. The original inner bag has yellowed and is creased.
