 1G / 2G STAMPERS EARLY STAMPERS 1ST edition "Original recording by...." at 10 O'Clock Grooved label, first issued in late 1962

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE, THE OPENING OF EACH SIDE, Side A for 6 minutes  AND SIDE B FOR 1 MINUTE. (I forgot I was sampling and left it on side A longer than intended.). 

THE EDGE OF EACH SIDE is sampled due to being where most needle drop or damage from scratches is most likely, THE RECORD PLAYS VERY CLEANLY ONLY OCCASIONAL UNREPETETIVE PIPS, ONLY HAS SUNLIGHT VISIBLE PAPER SCUFFS.BUT NOTHING SHOWS AUDIBLY IN FULL REPLAY, AS YOU CAN HEAR FOR YOURSELF IN THE SAMPLE.

SOUND SAMPLE IS LOW RESOLUTION AND HAS A TREBLE BIAS, SO SOME CRACKLE IS MORE PROMINANT THAN PLAYED ON GOOD SYSTEM. NO THIS 192KBPS SAMPLE ISN'T HIGH QUALITY AUDIO, JUST PROVIDED TO HELP SHOW HOW CLEAN THE lp REPLAYS

LP OUTER COVER,( NM- flipback)  tHE EDGES ARE ALL VERY NEAT WITH NO SIGN OF RUBBING OR SPLITTING, NO RINGWEAR VISIBLE IN REFLECTIVE LIGHT.  Rear unlaminated card has a pencil marked price near the sxl code.

LP FIRST RELEASED 1962,  ON THIS FIRST , WIDE BAND GROOVED, "ORIGINAL RECORDING BY" AT 10 O'CLOCK UK PRESS DECCA 

LABEL. 

NEWSFLASH 22/4/12. 

For the Curious collectors this record was probably deleted from the SXL decca catalogue prior to 1969, and was therefore only ever a wideband issue, as Narrowband labels commenced 1970.  My newest listing Bach Cantatas has a catalogue of Ansermet available recordings in 1969, and this recording only mentioned as an SDD series or Ace of Diamonds.  This implies it was never issued as a later Narrow band edition.  NOW THAT theory will throw a cat amongst the SXL collectors, and place a new potential value on SDD series records upto 1969 as they are by default potentially the narrow band edition that never was....

I estimate according to that Discography that could be for SDD series as far up as SDD 191 (at least) if they were issued chronologicaly as they seemed to replace  the SXL. label as a budget label  according to that discography.

Someone please correct me if you KNOW I am wrong.

NM -  LP (couple of Label Rotational marks and very minimal sunlight visible spiderline scuffs )/ ALSO as I look at the supersize photo, label side 1 has a name written at 3 O'clock near centre hole, I didn't see it until looking at the photo !!, it only shows in the right light now I go looking at it (red pen on a black label, it 'reflects' in the right light)

Partial test replay, THIS is VISIBLY, very clean, Only a few  fine marks,

but I couldn't get them to show in a photo, 

otherwise only a few paper scuffs visible in Sunlight only.

COVER CONDITION   NM-There is NO ring wear, (embossing is NOT ringwear, raised outline of LP through card) and it is quite neat. No seam splits  Only minor blemishes are -

     A FEW VERY SMALL CREASES IN LAMINATE NEAR EDGES DUE TO BEING FLEXED WITHOUT THE RECORD INSIDE.

Yes I have  fully test played this after professionally washing it.
