Earliest grooved wide band issue with 1G/1G matrix suffixes. "Made in England" perimeter lettering.
A superbly preserved near mint condition. Even with the aid of a magnifying glass I can detect no spider trail marks around the spindle areas, and just vestiges of gentle rubbing at the same areas. The labels have a high unworn lustre and the LP has clearly been hardly played and carefully handled.
The playing surfaces have a high gloss and are free of any marks save for one tiny superficial scuff mark only visible at very close quarters.
An LP such as this, with rich, delicate textures, needs quiet surfaces and this one does not disappoint. Quiet run-ins, and no crackle, ticks or ticks.
Inner sleeve EX.
External sleeve EX plus and only a whisker away from near mint due to fractional storage hairlining, but this really just a minor niggle. Sleeve is still very clean and crisp with no edge wear, a completely uncrushed spine and crisp entry side.
All in all a superb issue of this stunning early UK Decca, which has superb audio.
