Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Beatles, Rolling Stones and some progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first U.K. pressing of Syd Barrett – Barrett on the Harvest label, cat. no. SHSP 4007 with NO EMI Box on the label and a laminated, non textured flipback sleeve.
The record is in VG++ condition, there are some hairlines and superficial marks. I have test played this record and plays through with very slight crackling. The labels are in VG++ condition, there are couple spindle marks only. Just for your information, the matrix numbers both have the 1G endings, indicating a very first pressing of this album.
The cover is in VG++ condition as well, there are a couple tiny creases next to the spine and opening edge, on the back is a 1.5 cm tear on the opening edge and a retailer’s sticker in the upper right hand corner. Besides that there is nothing wrong with this cover, no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
This is an extremely rare copy of the second Syd Barrett solo album on Harvest. Although not in a dream mint condition, this copy is still very presentable. This record is very difficult to find as an original first pressing (second pressings with the textured non flipback sleeve and an EMI logo on the label are quite easy to find), so this is your chance to own a very rare psychedelic, Pink Floyd related record. Happy Bidding!
