Here’s a beautiful Near Mint/Near Mint UK first pressing of Syd Barrett’s second and final solo album, BARRETT, on Harvest (released in 1970.) The front laminated sleeve is in superb condition; there is an ultra minor ding to the top left corner and a tiny bit of a distributor’s stamp to the right of “Syd Barrett” on the back cover, but it’s barely noticible. This is cleaner than 90% of the first press covers you’ll see. The first pressing disc, with –1G Stampers and no EMI logo on the labels, is very clean as well; there are a few spindle marks to each label, but we’d guess this has been played fewer than 10 times. There is a very very minor dishing, but it’s barely perceptible. We’re listening to it now and it sounds fantastic. And we can’t say enough about this album—it’s truly a masterpiece of psychedelic rock from the man who helped invent the genre.
