This is the RARE UK 1st press of ''Barrett' by Syd Barrett. This rare press is complete with the early A-1G / B-1G matrix, the earliest NO EMI green Harvest label, the original Harvest advertising inner sleeve and the earliest flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, the record looks and sounds absolutely superb. There are just a few wispy hairlines. The sound is extremely bold, warm and crystal clear. The Harvest labels are completely clean. The green is exceptionally solid, the text is sharp and there is NO spindle wear. The record is complete with the original advertising inner sleeve.
The earliest flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent condition. The white is bright, with just a little discolouration, the black is solid and the laminate is extremely flat and has a stunning shine. The edges are firm, there is just the slightest corner and opening edge wear and a little spine crease. On the back of the sleeve the flipbacks are completely sealed and intact. The unlaminated black is completely unworn and the text is sharp. The whole cover is in fantastic solid condition and the pinched spine is very firm with clear text on a bright background.
