Description
The possessions of the late Sid Barrett were auctioned at Cheffins Cambridge on November 29th 2006. The catalogue is very rare and collectable as only a limited amount were printed.
The auction catalogue has a chapter with various colour photos of his bicycles, furniture, paintings, artists tools. guitar and many other items. I have listed each lot and the selling price.
Syd Barrett was one of the most important and influntial musicians in London's underground music scene of the late sixties. He was a founding member of, and the original songwriter for, Pink Floyd. His time with the band did not last more than 2 years, but his influence on there music was profound. When, in 2001 Pink Floyd released 'Echoes, The Best of Pink Floyd' Syd had written, or contributed to, over a fifth of the tracks.
