Description

Offered here is SYD BARRETT "The Madcap Laughs" 1st SOLO UK LP 1970 EMI/Harvest SHVL 765 Stereo, with David Gilmour and Roger Waters Producers. MATRIX: Side 1 =SHVL 765 A-2 G Side 2= SHVL 765 B-3, proves slightly latter pressing. The Madcap Laughs is the debut solo album by the English singer-songwriter Syd Barrett. It was recorded after Barrett had left Pink Floyd in April 1968. The album had a chequered recording history, with work beginning in mid-1968, but the bulk of the sessions taking place between April and July 1969, for which five different producers were credited ? including Barrett, Peter Jenner (1968 sessions), Malcolm Jones (early-to-mid-1969 sessions), and fellow Pink Floyd members David Gilmour and Roger Waters (mid-1969 sessions). Among the guest musicians are Willie Wilson from (Gilmour's old band) Jokers Wild and Robert Wyatt of the band Soft Machine.

CONDITION: The Fold Out Cover is in Excellent to Near Mint Condition Interior is Excellent.  The LP, with a visual inspection, appears to have had little or no play and we grade it Near Mint/Mint. The paper protector sleeve, is near Mint, or better condition. NOTE! RARE! Appears to be the finest example of this latter pressing offered on eBay or the Internet!  Shipping note: We remove album from sleeve, and place in a separate plastic sleeve, so the album cover is not dinged during shipping.
