SYD BARRETT - VEGETABLE MAN - 'demos, outakes and rare acetates 1967-71'.  VINYL LP that comes in a fold over card sleeve (please see the photos of the labels for track listings).   The cover states that this album was produced by and for fans of Syd Barrett.                                                     IMPORTANT - I don't know much about this album (and the other similar Syd LP's I'm currently auctioning), but I believe it was some sort of 'fan' release, possibly issued circa 1970's 1980's, and possible issued in Italy??  The LP contains tracks from various demos, outakes, live performances and rare acetates from 1967 -71.                        I've listened to this LP whilst I've been typing this and it's an enjoyable album and plays well (visually = excellent - condition), but has the occasional strange noise, variations in sound quality, slight distortion that all seem part of the overall album/sessions/demos etc.                                                                     SO, due to this and as this LP does not seem to be a professional release and as I can't really find out much about it - I am therefore selling it as just a SOUVENIR ITEM...                                             From what I've been told you might be able to find out more information on a website called 'POP SIKE'.  This site records sales of this album on ebay and could offer you more information than I can. ( I'm not sure if you have to subscribe to this site to use it?? It doesn't seem to let me view things, so good luck )  I am currently auctioning other similar Syd Barrett LPs that came from the same person, via my brother. 

**CONDITION**

**When grading my items I follow Record Collector magazine's grading guide.** Therefore the fold-over card sleeve has a slight corner crease, ow = excellent - to excellent condition,  the labels = excellent, the vinyl = excellent - condition. 

**    CONDITION GRADES    **                                                                                                   MINT = I NEVER REALLY USE THIS GRADE,  BUT IF I DID IT WOULD MEAN THAT THE ITEM IS IN A FACTORY FRESH/NEVER PLAYED CONDITION.                                                 EXCELLENT = RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY.  THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SOME SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.                                                         VERY GOOD = THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH.  NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER AND EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS.           THE GRADES MIGHT BE TWEAKED BY  +  AND  -  's.**

I WILL USUALLY TRY TO TEST/PLAY THE RECORD ON A VARIETY  OF DECKS/SYSTEMS ; TECHNICS SL1200, GEMINI 600II, NUMARK PT01 AND ION USB.

I take great care when packaging and sending my items. My items are sent in new protective plastic sleeves, within a larger, thick cardboard package, stamped 'RECORDS please do not bend' ( where appropriate the record is taken out of its picture sleeve and placed into a plain sleeve, to avoid cover damage in transit ).

IMPORTANT  A 'proof of posting' certificate and receipt is obtained for all items sent.  In the very rare case of an item going missing, a claim can be submitted to the Royal Mail, but this will only cover the first £28 of the items value and is obviously subject to the Royal Mails investigation into the loss.  For valueable items there is an insured/signed for option, please ask for details/quotes.
