Description
Working diligently with my librarian hat on. I am really proud of how well we took care of our things and collectables?just kinda forgot. We have hundreds of quality pieces?some seldom seen especially in the U.S. Some are rare or at least hard to find. I welcome International Buyers?I know you have to pay high taxes from your country and mine. It also takes forever, but collecting is like that, I know.
Keep checking back, I don?t relist so much but combine. If the record is a mess - you will know about it and see it, if it was a cut out or a promo, I will show and tell. Nonsmoking home, original owners (okay a few finds in thrifting Years ago)...Happy to pass on to someone who wants it.

"...The Madcap Laughs sounds as though it was a difficult record to make. Ex-bandmates David Gilmour and Roger Waters obviously had to expend some effort to get Barrett organized enough to produce releasable tracks, and they only did half the record. (The remainder was produced by the label manager of Harvest Records.) The inclusion of false starts and between-take discussions make it clear this was no easy task. Still, the songs (e.g., "Terrapin," "Octopus") are wonderful, and Syd's delicate but clumsy singing lends charm to the effort, which alternates between one-man performances and subtly played group efforts (several of which were actually solo takes overdubbed by Hugh Hopper, Mike Ratledge and Robert Wyatt of the Soft Machine).
Gilmour and Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright produced Barrett, using Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley as the album's fourth musician. This more consistent-sounding record — relatively confident and upbeat — offers Barrett's idiosyncratic view of life in songs like "Waving My Arms in the Air" and "Effervescing Elephant." Confusion and anger lurk just below the surface of misleadingly chipper bits of Carnaby Street flower-power music..."

Vinyl collecting tips
?Check the edition of the record, i.e. whether or not it is a standard copy, a REPRESS (non-original), or a PROMO (usually worth a lot more as they were released in limited numbers before being commercially released).
*FIRST (1ST) PRESS: These LPs are the very first to come off the production line and are made directly from the mother discs, the matrix numbers usually end in -1.
*MATRIX NUMBERS: These are numbers found etched into the vinyl between the final track and label. Each side should have a different number. They tell you when are where the LP was made, if the matrix numbers end in -1 it usually means they are 1st pressings.
Bear in mind that some releases get a simultaneous release on multiple formats within the same territory, and then you have the releases that may be released at the same time in completely different territories often by different labels. Sometimes the of a first pressing simply does not exist.?
