Description
One of the defining songs of the 1980s, The Sweetest Taboo helped establish Sade as one of the decade's most sophisticated and enduring acts. Released from the multi-platinum album Promise, the song's smooth groove, understated elegance, and Sade Adu's unmistakable vocals made it a worldwide hit and a staple of quiet storm, adult contemporary, and soul radio.
This U.S. promotional 12" single was distributed to radio stations and music industry professionals and features both the Short Version and the sought-after Long Version of the track. Promo releases such as this were produced in far smaller quantities than retail copies, making them especially appealing to collectors of Sade, radio memorabilia, and 1980s soul and jazz-pop vinyl.
