The original and only known recording (78 rpm record) of Silent Film Star and original Hollywood Heart-throb Rudolph Valentino, Recorded at Brunswick Studios, NY, 1923 - Distributed by the Celebrities Recording Co.
Side 1: Kashmir Song Side 2: El Relicario (in Spanish)
This is the original recording of Valentino's voice singing, not one of the later tributes sung by someone else. Very Rare.
Condition: VG. Plays without issue. Light surface hairline scratches noted due to age, but does not effect playback. Perfect to frame and hang on a wall.
Rudolph Valentino (1895-1926) was an Italian-born American actor and original silent film Star (The Shiek). His premature death (age 31), caused mass hysteria among his female fans and further propelled him into iconic status. Though recorded in 1923, the songs were not released until a number of years after his death. They are the only two songs that Valentino ever recorded. Valentino recorded these songs for his new bride, Natacha Rambova.
